Fall and harvest are upon us – it’s a BUSY time of year! That means that as we prep to make new cider and perry, we will start running out of older batches.
I’d also like to remind people that apples don’t actually need a frost to ripen. It’s a common myth. Our orchard partner, Brightonwoods, has -lots- of great apples on hand right now. No need to wait for a cold snap – come see us right away.
At the winery, we are running low on:
Orchard Oriole Perry
And we recently ran out of:
Single Barrel Solstice
Our small batch sparkling, rose-colored, intensely flavored, boundary pushing cider has sold out.
The red-fleshed apple trees are on their off year, so the soonest it can return is about 2018 – but it worked so well that I -will- be making it again.
We will likely run out of the Blackbird Blackcurrant/Elderberry flavored cider this weekend, if not before. If you need some, plan a trip or call to reserve some. Or both.
Folks, we are facing a couple of week gap in Brown Dog Cask. The last barrel is selling out before the next one is ready. But not by much. It should be back before Halloween.
Between my usual mis-estimation and some bad luck with the spring juice, we are very short on Sparrow Spiced Cider. As in sometime next weekend.
So, take a trip out to the winery to get some now. Or call ahead to reserve some for your tippling pleasure.
Charles – Ciderwright.
We are running low on our English-style high tannin cider. It’s time to make a visit or call to reserve some.
The new ‘pomage’ of Kinget Bitter, a tannic cider made from English and French apples grown only for drinking, has hit the Tasting Room. Enjoy!
Low Inventory Alert: Less than 5 cases of Orchard Oriole Perry, our super-traditional English-type Perry are left at the Cidery. And the 2014 crop was too poor to make anything with, so this Perry won’t be back until 2016. Visit soon, or call to reserve some ’til a later visit.
We now have Pommeax Apple Dessert Wine and Poirissimo Pear Dessert Wine back in the Tasting Room. Hurray!
We also bottled up some new Cask Strength Brown Dog. It will probably rotate into the Tasting Room this weekend.
Two releases in one weekend!
Thanks to Kitty and Milissa, this year’s ‘pomage’ of our traditional English-ish draft cider is available. It’s the partner to our English-ish dry, tannic Orchard Oriole Perry, which is also ready for sale now.
The Kinglet is not as short supply as the Oriole – but I don’t expect it to last the Summer. So stop in to the ÆppelTreow Tasting Room some weekend soon.
