This is certainly cider drinking weather. So here’s a heads up on winery hours. We won’t have any appointments available on the Fourth. But Milissa is at the Winery today (7/3). And Friday hours start noon this week.
As I noted last week, while Milissa was away on a trip, she set me a challenge – to make 9 times her mid-week sales in the Tasting Room. Now that’s a high bar for this time of year, as she had some great mid-week appointment guests. Charlotte and I put in our best effort on Saturday, and you all flocked in. Counting both days, we came in at 8 times Milissa’s number. _Almost_ to her goal. To look at that another way, you all took home 68% (!!) more AeppelTreow Cider than the same weekend last year. And that’s a success no matter how you look at it.
Milissa, Marianne and Bill put in a hard day today and got some Perry ready for Mother’s Day. So our medium sweet pear sparkler is back!
We have a busy weekend planned, prepping products and bottling them. So we’ll be there roughly 10-4 Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
We have Barn Swallow Cider, Kinglet Bitter Cider and Orchard Oriole Perry back on the shelves! Saturday we are bottling Pommeaux and Poirissimo.
Added the rest of the basic pages for the Song Bird Ciders: Oriole Perry, Kinglet Bitter, Red Poll, Bunting and Sparrow Spiced.
Note to self: Add key for the sweetness and tartness scales somewhere, and add a post telling the story of ‘Why Songbirds’.
